Now I'm not entirely sure this method will fix the issue as I have never tested it but it seems plausible.
2.
Download and install Xposed Framework on your device, once it's installed it will need to update it manually. Start the app and select the first option "Framework" then click "Install/Update". If there is a prompt, select "Classical" and reboot the device once it's done.
Now open XPosed Framework again but this time click Downloads, search for "Dimentions Editor" and swipe to the left to access the downloads page for the app, download and install. After it's installed select "Modules" from the XPosed Framework menu and tick the box to enable. You'll need to again reboot after that but first you can launch the Dimensions app and scroll down till you see "Navigation bar Height".
Again I changed mine to 68 where 48 was the default. Scroll to the bottom of that app's page and click save. Then reboot your device and the Navbar should be slightly bigger than it was. DU's settings button should now be working properly and this should also help you with other app/games that you have trouble using on your tablet due to resolution issues. "The World Ends With You" is such a title that doesn't line up correctly on an 8" tablet.
If you have any other tips or observations using this method, please feel free to reply with your findings. =D
