Tamer Kali back to give you a tutorial to the best of my ability!
And another common question we have involves training.
More accurately, the questions I see fall under the lines of:
"I can't win battle!"
"Why not win battle!?"
"What is the point of training?"
"Do I need to train to digivolve?"
"Do I need to train to win battles?"
Well, I figured it would be obvious the importance of training. Even if you have not played any other V-Pets or digivices I would assume people would realize that you can't just win a battle without training. So yes, training is very very important.
So now I will try to cover the following that involves training:
The importance of training
DP
Types of training
How much you should train before going into the battle server

The importance of training
As mentioned before, training is very important when it comes to this game. Not only does the stage of the digimon not have that much importance on who will win (IE a rookie that trains more than a Champion will win nearly every time), but when you train it raises your attack stat a certain amount (depending on which training you choose to use), and it will drain your DP as well. You need to do this in order to win in battles. If you do not you will lose.
DP
DP is basically your Digimon's stamina. Once this is depleted, you will run out of energy and will not be able to train or battle. There are two different ways to replenish your DP though if you would like to continue training.
1. Feed the Digimon a ton of pills. 4 pills equals +1 DP. This also has your Digimon gain weight which will effect your digivolution at times. Also, your digimon could get sick. This does not count as a care miss unless you ignore the digimon while he is sick. But it can kill the digimon if said digimon has just had an "Evolution Fail". So be careful under those circumstances.
2. Let your digimon rest for 8 hours. Typically at night of course. Many will remember I had originally stated let them sleep for an hour, but I believe that was a mistake on my part. I believe it is a total of eight hours. Now, some people have issues with force closing apps and this is an issue with your phone that you will have to get corrected yourself.
Types of training
As I'm sure you are all aware, there are three kinds of training:
Classic
Pendulum
Search
Each have their own advantages and are great to use. I'll go over their functions now.
1. Classic Training: Classic training is a simple one and the easiest to do well in. It takes -1 DP for 2 trainings and grants +1 Attack for each training. It takes 4 trainings to get a "Megahit." which will increase your megahit's power during real battles. Obviously, all you have to do to do well at this training is to press the button when it's at 100%
2. Pendulum Training: Pendulum training is where it starts to get a bit more complicated, but it's not as hard as it seems. With pendulum training, you must shake your phone a certain amount of times to get a "megahit." This shaking amount depends on each individual Digimon, but should always be between 2-9 shakes.
This can be better than classic training because you can essentially cut your DP usage in half and it also helps practice for online battles which are strictly pendulum based.
When you shake the phone, you will hear a clicking sound. That is your count for shake amount. So you must listen in closely to know how many times you've shake the phone. Be careful to listen because you may accidentally shake it twice and not even realized it. It takes a little bit of practice, but it really isn't that difficult.
3. Search Training: And finally get come to search training. When you search train, it starts off the same as pendulum. You are then allowed to scan bar codes and QR codes for digimon. This is very helpful if you can find rookie digimon because it will help you increase your win rate without having to go against strong online battlers. Once your win rate is lowered it can be difficult to bring it up you see.
Here is a link to some bar codes that have rookie digimon you can battle against. Just hold your phone out to the bar code to try and scan it: androgochi.blogspot.com/2013/02/digimon-unlimited-qr-rookie-codes.html

How much you should train before going into the battle server
Now, a common question we get is how MUCH should you trai before entering the battle server. It's recommended that you train at least 70 times. Yes, 70. I know it seems like much, but that will give you a good edge amongst many of your peers.
