I finally regained my consciousness only to see that girl and Ceberumon disappear...but what had happened?

"I take it he was that egg...he used too much energy...but I'm surprised most digimon don't have such a personality when they first hatch...I take it He's a second generation---ugh..."
I was a little week myself...Tagimachi told me what happened but I still don't even fathom it...I was dark? Well either way we still had to gather some metal...but wow is this gonna be a tale to tell the others...

I felt as though I missed out on a lot of the day. Most of it was me looking on the camera for any info on the woman and the the other half was finishing the negotiations with the auto club...
"Its been a while since I heard from Tagimachi and the others...I hope there well---"
"Tsuji-nii!!! You meanie!!!"
"Ah hanahime I totally--"
"You forgot!?I was up there all day!!!"
"That's wonderful the solar energy you got must have been enough---"
"Energy!? All you care about is work. Tsuji-nii you need to reexamine your priorities!!!"
She leaned it angrily...

"I lost track of time..."
Maybe she was right. Lately we've been dealing with digimon issues so that's taking up my regular life...my life with hanahime...
"Sigh...maybe she's right...maybe my work has taken over my life..."
"Oh you just now figured that out?"
Julia had cone in after hearing the commotion.
"Julia... I take it you heard all that..."
"I've been trying to tell you this all this time...your caught up in your work the majority of the time you failed to notice the people around you...how there changing and how they feel..."
"I see...maybe your right...but there is something going on...something that I can't ignore...I'm sure of it. So I want to be ready...so that when it does come...I'll be ready...and I'll solve it...and then I'll relax..."
"Tsuji...you don't need to be so cautious... It's almost as if you don't want to lose...anyone... Oh Tsuji..."
Julia walked toward the window.
"Is it about that day...the day we spoke of war?"
"What...?"
"I remember that day quite well. To be honest I should have recognized this change...you didn't always bury yourself in your work...you used to be so...different..."
"I was different... I had never...lost anything..."

"I still remember the last conversation we had...it was about war. I felt as though you were trying to warn me of something. I had met hanahime long before you so I though you could be talking about her in some sort so I wanted to be ready. And then you disappeared...for a few months I was on edge...but I coped...in finishing your work...Maybe then I could find out where you went..."
"Tsuji...I'm sorry. I should have told you then so I suppose this long overdue... That morning me and the rest of the robotics club had stumbled upon a weird programming when we were working on our latest robot. It was then that we discovered that it wasn't a natural reaction... It was something that had never been seen before...the chip was being converted into data...something that was materialized... Into data...think of what this type of thing could do to this world!!!...ahem...it was at that moment I stepped out and saw you...and that's when the thought of war came to mind...what this type of thing could have an effect on people like you...and I didn't want that...so it was decided that we would get rid of it...and I guess you could know what happened after that..."
"So you made that decision for yourself!? You can't be serious... Do you know how long I looked for you!?---ah..."
"....I'm sorry...Tsuji..."
There was a long silence...

"Um I...hope were not interrupting..."
Tagimachi had returned with...what!?
"It's strabimon!? But how...what's going on!?

As I walked in I heard them talking and most of there conversation. I looked at Julia apologetically and then looked at Tsuji.
"Alice happened turns out our new buddy has some sort of elemental shift evolution style. So you can guess she pushed him towards dark. My guess is that awakened the egg. I warp digivolved Strabimon from his baby form so he's kinda tired. We also got your metal wish alice would just talk to me. She always acts like I'm the bad guy I want to hear her out but she always just dissapears."
" X you are such a weirdo that girl is trouble with a capital T."
I walked Strabimon over to a small bed we had in the room for when the digimon or us got over exerted.
"Ya but I feel I should know her but there is something missing. Like I knew her before I met you Gabumon but I can't remember."
" Doesn't matter she is crazy. Strabimon help me out man this idiot is falling for a psychopath."
"Jerk I'm not falling for her kinda have my eyes on a diff girl she hard enough to reach."
Did I just make myself very obvious about the girl I actually liked? Well to late now all I can do is hope no one puts the peaces together.
"By the way where's Hana? Oh and I think we need some sort of protection for gio but for now."
I handed Gio a Card that said shining light on the front.
"That should protect you from dark shifting again. Now there is another bed go lay down before you drop. And thanks for your help with the metal."
I think sometimes I'm to nice especially to girls.

Finally everything came together. The auto club managed to help us with the small details and the rest was left to us. We had already setup what the mech was to look like. now became the arduous task of putting the whole thing together...but this was different from the normal team. We had the digimon helping us along the way. The auto club really seemed to enjoy Gabumon and really admired chaosgallentmon's wisdom. Hanahime... Was hanahime as usual but she did her part as well. And so the days became weeks...between classes and club activities we were in the grind of regular life...it was wonderful. The best thing about it was other people were finally accepting digimon...working together with them hand in hand. Even stingy strabimon assisted in this endeavor. As for Gio...his music gave us motivation to keep going night after night...
(A month and a half later...)
"Everyone... Today is a day we can truly be proud... All the hard work. The sweat and tears we've poored into the this task has been hard believe me...but at last we have finished him...behold!!!"
The mech stood 15 feet tall in a neon blue color. The hatch fit perfectly in the center. And for the head we gave it a garurumon theme...
"Everyone this is the thing that will take out two clubs to the world, to show them that two clubs and other creatures alike can accomplish anything together and that's why I gave this robot a name...a name that represents our paths meeting, coming together to do something big, something world changing!!!
The Cross fighter!!!"

Gabumon and I smiled looking at the head and clapped.
"Good name and love the head even though it is Gabumon's ugly mug."
I smiled teasing Gabumon and he smiled back as he replyed teasingly.
"Could have been worse could have been your ugly mug."
We laughed and gave each other noogies. I then walked over to Strabimon patting him on the back.
"Thanks again for the help Strabimon you too Gio you guys made this much easier than it would have been. Oh and sorry if my moms been over cuddling you Strabimon she loves dogs. I don't know how she sees you as a dog I mean she knows about digimon now but still treats you and Gabumon like dogs."
"X your moms just got lots of love to spare if Tsuji and Julia show up with Chaos and Hana and Gio she wouldn't stop hugging people."
"That reminds me who wants to celebrate at my house tonight."
Although I had a feeling only the digimon would come seeing as Me and Julia were gonna force Tsuji to go out with her if he tried to back out again. Ha I'm so nice its criminal.

"Did I hear party!?"
"Someone said party!!"
"Oh yeah!! part at Tagimachi's!!!"
I guess a celebration was in order everyone worked so hard.

Everyone from the auto club as well as the digimon celebrated our greatest endeavor. It also finally gave me some time to relax. I had been working on the xross fighter for a long time...it seemed I had some unfinished business...
"Tsuji-nii the parties over here!!!"
"I'll be back hanahime relax and have fun..."
I was glad to see they everyone was having a great time with one another... Well everyone but her...
"What's up chief..."
"Oh...Tsuji..."
She was in the porch.it was obvious that work had caught up with her as well.
"I came up here... To get some air...the party meant well, but I'm a little tired..."
"I here you...but we can finally breath for the next few weeks..."

"...say Tsuji..."
"...."
"...How do you feel about me..."
*cough*"uh what...oh..."
"...I'm asking this because---"
"I've been avoiding you?"
"So you have been..."
"I'm sorry but I didn't know how to confront you...I was both sadden and angry about what was going on between you and the club. And how I was left out...and to hear that everything was on purpose..."

"However that doesn't mean that it should effect our future... The fact of the matter is that you came back. Weather it was to obtain a normal life or to get away from it all...I'm glad you did..."

She looked embarrassed, but eagerly awaited my reply...

"Hey you two there is a problem---uh am I interrupting some---"

Sorry sorry...but there's something on TV you gotta see!!"
I looked in shock as I saw the report on the news
*were here with the champion of the robotics competition in the east...Alice McCoy!!! She won with an astonishing mech in record time...Alice any comments!!!
"Yes...I look forward to see the competition this country has in store...yes its going to be..." Exciting "
Well either way were sure to see some good bouts in the weeks to come*
"So Alice is in this...but what does she have to do with anything... And why does she keep going after us..."
"I guess we'll find out in due time..."

As I saw the video I couldn't take it anymore. I smiled anyway though and looked at Tsuji as he walked in.
"I want to pilot cross fighter. She won't escape my questions this time."
I accidentally started letting go of some of my dark aura making everyone take a few steps away. I quickly noticed and stopped it.
"Sorry I'm excited. She can't escape now."
"Now I feel sorry for Alice she got X excited that might be worse than when he mad. Last time he got excited he slapped a guy silly."
Yep but Koh deserved it so I just grinned like an idiot. If Tsuji let's me pilot then he is just as crazy as me. Would explain why we get along so well though.

"So you want to poilet the xross fighter...I couldn't think of a more suitable person, however you will be having a partner in this task...strabimon!!!"
"What!? Why me!?"
"I'll explain everything tomorrow but its essential that both you and Tagimachi are in this together...but nows not the time for that... Tonight is time to party!!!"
"Yeah!!!!!"
I had hoped that he would be the one to poilet the xross fighter, he has the spirit, but tomorrow is a different day and handling a future machine will take time and effort...I hope he's up for the task...
(Far away....)
And its over!! our competitor for the world mech competition has been decided!!!
Our congrats goes to ikaku sensei for this amazing feat!!!
"...that was boring... There better be better competition out there for me hubby..."
"O-Oh believe me there is...one of the teams that we investigated has made it to the semifinals... And the team who we lead on...is entering as well..."

Me and Gabumon started karaoke we obviously went first singing immortals the song we met to. Yep we're dorks and proud of it. We even had anime songs for Hanahime. Our hardest goal was a Tsuji Julia duet.
" Tsuji Julia you two should sing a song together."
"Ya like X said sing have fun."
We both started talking at the same time.
"Sing..........."
Yep we are the dorkyest pair ever.

Today was the day. It was time to show the staff of the school the results of all of our efforts, the xross fighter...
"Alright Mr. Haruto, ms. Julia, Mr Tagimachi... Its time to show us the fruits of your labor..."
"Yes sir...hanahime if you will..."
A single bottom lifted the xross fighter from the ground. The staff looked in awe as the blue giant glisened in the sun.
"Now an explanation if you will"
"Certainly but its best if I have Gio explain these capabilities..."
"Ah yes...in the xross fighter is basically a mech suit giving the user mechanical strength as in what you might use in a construction device, however we have given it human capabilities such as grabbing and bendable objects..."
"So what makes this any different than any other mech..."
"I'm glad you asked..."

"Well if you noticed we based the design on Gabumon. And therefore we implemented some of the skills a Gabumon race could hold. But since you don't know that allow me to demonstrate"
As that was said the air suddenly grew cold...
"L-Look at the ground!"
It was frozen solid... Due to the vapor on the ground...
"Our robot is unique in that it produces a cold energy giving us the edge in arctic situations... Also..."
*crack*
"Hooks...for stability..."

"And finally for the specialty..."
The inside began glowing a bright blue.
"The blue you are seeing inside is the core releasing the blue flame exhaust... It resembles Gabumon's flames but instead of an attack is used as a heater to keep the duo warm inside...however..."
"However what..."
"Its nothing...but now you see what we have to offer...give us a week and we'll have the pilots ready to move it."
"And they are...?"
I looked in confidence...
"Tagimachi and strabimon!!!"

I just waved as Tsuji said my name. Gabumon climbed onto my shoulders looking at the staff.
"X do you think that this may be too dangerous?"
"Ya but I'm not worried Alice wouldn't actually hurt me and Tsuji is a good builder."
" Ya but something seems off why has it been so long since a mission showed up."
"Good point maybe its just really good luck."
"Nah there's someone else who wanted us to finish this I'm just not sure who."
"Don't worry whatever happens we can handle it."
We smiled at each other and looked at the others. We then spoke in unison.
" Go Team Xros Fighter!"

There was an astonishing round of applause from the staff. They were clearly impressed with the advancement of technology.
"Ladies and gentlemen. This is the future of science...and these are the future makers of the such endeavors!!!"
*applause*
"That you all. This was an amazing feat that certainty will stand on top of the mech tournament. But it will not be easy...we've encountered our competition... But we will not waver...we will be victorious!!!"
*woooooo!!!!!!*

Later on after school we met for the initial meeting for our first round which will be 2 weeks from now.
”Alright its time to get the xross fight ready for its first walk,but before that I should go into detail about the controls as for the reason why both you and strabimon are in charge of piloting it is due to...certain senerios. We are certain that there is "someone" who will be using a digimon so its best to keep Gabumon on standby to keep us from being disqualified, well that and it seems that he is a good mechanic..."
"What...about me???"
"You'll be part of the repair team as well we cant have any mishaps...and finally me and Julia will be on tech support."
Everything was finally set but the most important part was here...Tagimachi and strabimon had to get adjusted to the suit...

As me and Strabimon climbed into the suit and settled down we noticed all the buttons. And I pushed the first one I could think of the suit then threw a punch.
"Wow am I really that bad about punching that even when I try to learn to use a mech the first thing I learn to do is punch? This is gonna be a long day."
Actually we had got the hang of it pretty fast it was kinda like a fighting game but lots more buttons. We ended up practicing most of the day.
"How is it Gabumon is a good mechanic anyway? His thumbs are barely poseable."
" X you picking a fight with me?"
"Hell ya bring it."
I made the robot do the classic bring it hand gesture and we laughed.

The weeks went as Tagimachi and strabimon continued to improve on the xross fighter...yes we were getting ready to Change the world. To show a true interaction between humans and digimon...

(Two weeks later)
it was finally time for the tournament to begin. Both me and Tagimachi eagerly awaited the competition. The bight before we were given our opponent list. And needless to say we were going to be busy. Luckily we were given flight fare so the cost would be down for any repairs we might need...
Alright Tagimachi, Julia,hanahime, Gio, strabimon... Let's take this world by storm!!!"

Yes...drimogemon is ready the slide program has activated... This tournament would is going to change... Everything...

My first thought when we landed was to find Alice so I set off to find her. I had no clue where to look but I felt I would find her.
" Julia keep and eye on Tsuji and Gabumon I'm gonna head out on my own."
"X on your own really?"
"Yeah gonna look for some lady's to party with."
That was kinda a lie but not quite. Gabumon just rolled his eyes as I ran off.
"Did anyone invite the people from NightCrow? I think it would surprise X to see Sayo again. You wanna see X blush and make fun of him for once you surprise him with a girl hahaha."
Gabumon had a evil look on his face but it was obviously because he loves teasing me. Of course I learned all of this later.
