Yes. The fact that this is all there is to it, is why it is not entertaining. That's what I said. I did not say THAT has to change. I want something, that makes it attractive to do just that. The pictures are an example because that is what there was before. Whether you like that or not is another thing. I never said they should get the pictures back. And by the way. It is not about having the pictures. It is about COLLECTING them by finding those digimon on your own. It's not my idea. What I want to hear are other ideas like that. Something small but entertaining. Its function in assisting the evolution is stupid. especially because everyone scans shakomon. This function is just not enough. Not for something that is actually so genious and in my opinion something that deserves to be more than this.

How about something like this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiTEjv5q_00That would make hacking for power useless due the implementation of a PseudoRNG, but also it would mean the training algorithm would be revamped to be "less broken" or completly removed from the app. But regardless of that fact I guess anybody here plays the game for their own reasons, maybe for fun, maybe by nostalgia, to get a "pet" or companion perhaps, etc. So this little app won't satisfy all our particular "requests" without being coded again, and I guess the dev is not in the mood of doing that anytime soon or at all. But anyway, it is always fun to propose new features for the app just for the fun of doing it. Good luck!

He's actually in the mood of doing already, but he just don't know when he will complete it. I don't think it's fun to just imagine but not have the idea carried out. Just think of that shop video released 2 yrs ago and u will know how I feel. However, in order to make an idea more easily accepted by Bulz, probably you have to explain ur idea with an Digimon- (preferrably Digivice-) related examples. Last time I suggested making Digimemory able to jogress with other player's dg, at first he didn't accept that, but then he seems to accept the idea by telling me that Digimon Revive/Survive (an official phone app mimicking Pendulum which is already down) also have a similar system.

I have a game development page going for a reason. the digivice allows you to raise a digimon, but its basically a tedious chore of a game otherwise. I agree the digidex and other eggs gave the game something worth playing. It is a pile of steaming shit right now. We need a community that can really utilize the app to do stuff together. weekly tournament leagues, odd home-brews. with the password locked rooms, the server just gives you a nice place to meet up. who is honestly trying to compete with top 10 here, because those numbers are crazy... don't plan on having a life if you want to train that much, and everyone seems to be on a "count your training" kick. who cares. there is a hundred ways to keep track and all of them are equally pointless and neurotic. for example, i don't count how many times i have tried to teach my dog a trick, either it gets it or it doesn't. same as your digimon winning in the server, if it isn't winning, keep training. people in there are crazy strong, and with it being a nostalgia product, you cant count on a local community around you to keep interest. I agree, with no other features and no other modes, adventure, item shop, digidex... it just feels a little hollow on the motivation when there are so many other games out there. and without a strong community that is communicating there seems to be little that can be done about it. go slap something on my game development thread if you have any ideas that could tide us over until the developer is done with his secret meetings

Back to the topic...As the game is so lacking now, I found some ppl actually see hacking DU itself as a game...to them it's more challenging and rewarding than playing the game itself, coz they are doing sth that others thought to be impossible. To me the normal gameplay is not the game either until cheat problem is solved, TiBU can't be used on the app and the battle is more interactive. The only reason why I don't leave anything in ur thread is ur thread seems to be more related to the tournament thing which I don't feel interested right now. It can be that my reading skill is bad, though. It's very unlikely the 'secret meeting' will be done at anytime unless Bulz gets better English and more time. When he still use fb on a more regular basis I showed him a thread where everyone was suggesting ideas for shops, items, etc. He did reply he would read, however I just wonder if he really do so, considering he can even miss some parts of my email, which is not any longer than this post. I assume he only scanned the email and skipped parts that he thought unimportant. And it's well-known that his English is bad. So it will be pointless to have great ideas explained with paragraphs and paragraphs, no matter in email or forum or fb, coz he will just ignore the whole thing if he doesn't understand. That's why he needs 'secret meeting', waiting someone to summarize the pts instead of 'wasting' his time reading 'unimportant things' AKA English that is too hard for him.

i almost am more with your friends who are trying to hack, at least you feel like you are actually playing digimon. figure out the computer science, you get to hack your digi. didn't the Digimon emperor basically do the same thing? lol
And yes, I could do much better to avoid putting a giant block of text up. especially when it comes to simplifying rules for multilingual speakers that English isn't their primary language, as I know that we are a diverse crowd here.
more than that game I have running, I would like to see the community actually talking and using the app for fun projects.
the weekly tournament league idea and the odd qr code rpg adventure ideas I have seen from others sound like good starts.I just want to enjoy the app and try to simulate it as the digimon experience. Maybe I should just start learning other languages. =p
or learn to code my own game... i guess i do have more free time than the developer.

Sometimes I also found things evolve like that in the anime... I think using the app for fun projects is not exactly the best option for DU. It's like we use dice for many diff games, but by doing that we are not making the dice itself any better. Of course u can't do anything else if u can't improve the app readily... I just hope that this game will not 'disintegrate' into diff versions of diff gameplays...Instead of releasing their creations separately, I really hope those who know coding send their modded apk to dev for intergration. You should better learn Malay then...and is my English gd enough?

The language shouldn't be a problem nowadays. Who out of all of us has english as his native language? Still everyone should be able to speak the international language. I do play the game out of nostalgia. Because it's Digimon. But simply training is just not entertaining enough. I really want to keep playing. I don't know how much time he has and if he even wants to change anything. But that's another reason why it's maybe important that the possible change is something small. Quickly done but just entertaining. Best would be if he didn't do it all alone. I'm sure there are many digimon fans capable and interested in coding a game like this. A cooperation with other coders could make this game become really good and faster developing.

And Korean then...I suggest that coz most of the DU players nowadays are those who can speak Malay, if I'm not mistaken. And more important is those who are SO willing to wreck the game are also speaking this instead of English...Maybe I better suggest Bulz learning Malay so he need not to wait for ppl telling him how cheaters cheat? lol
Still everyone should be able to speak the international language. While everyone probably knows some English at least, their abilities do vary a lot.

Well everyone should learn english nowadays. But noone needs to learn Malaysian so even if most of the players come from there, if you learn a language I think it would be much more useful to learn english ^^ But we are getting off topic.
