Everyone can make a tournament but you need to have a few key rules in mind:
Ban worthy offenses:
You can be banned from making or participating in tournaments. Most of the time, it will not be permanent. Bans vary on a case to case basis and are subjective, though agreed on by the whole of the staff. This is not a.forum wide ban, so you can still post in any other subforum and even on this one as a spectator. It only affects your tournament making and/or participating.
You can be banned from making tournaments but still be able to participate. Your ban is customized to the offense.
List of offenses-
Tournament Making
- Please don't make several tournaments in a short period of time. A tournament per week is a good estimation if your tournaments are over fast. Please don't have more than 3 tournaments running at the same time.
- If you don't deliver a prize and the victors complain about it. For example, you can't promise someone they will be a mod if they win. Alternatively, if you make the prize some custom art, like a signature or a drawing, and within a few weeks after the end of the tournaments, there are no signs of you giving the victor their art, it is ban worthy.
- Try to make your tournament requirements sane. A tournament where only Demidevimons can enter might sound fun, but it's very unlikely you will have enough Demidevimons in the forums for the tournament to actually be done. This is only a problem if you make several of these. If for example, you notice a lot of people have Greymon at the same time and decide to make a tournament it's fine. If you make like 3 Greymon only tournaments in a month, it's a little frustrating. Remember tournaments are supposed to be fun. Cutting out 99% of the forums from participating isn't very fun.
- Don't make tournaments and then cancel. We understand if suddenly you can't host a tournament. But if you keep making new tournaments only to cancel them, you are not taking this seriously enough.
Participating
- Don't enter tournament and then drop out. It's understandable if your Digimon dies or school gets in the way. But if you keep entering tournaments and then dropping out, you are not taking this seriously enough.
- Don't join a ridiculous amount of tournaments. It might sound fun to join every single tournament open but if it goes to the point where they start interfering with each other, you have a problem. Try not to join more than 5. You can join a little more as long as you can handle it but don't push it.
- Don't spam the tournament threads. Don't derail them either.
- Don't be a brat to the tournament organizer or other participants. Don't be a sore loser.
- Don't steal someone's trophy. You can think you'll post the non name written trophy in your signature and pretend you won. It won't work. The trophy room exists for a reason.
- Basically, don't do anything that might make the tournament maker report you.

[REST] Restricted. There are requirements (Only specific levels or families, etc)
[ALL] Open to all Digimon
[1VS1] Regular 1 vs 1 tournament
[TAG] Usually teams of 2 to 3 people. Elimination style, the team that wins the most battles in a round progresses while the other doesn't. Like a regular elimination style tournament, except with three battles being fought by 6 people.
[TEAM] Team play. Around 2-4 teams fight each other for points.
That's basically it. Remember to have fun and play nice.
I will make a thread showcasing different types of tournaments soon.

Everyone can make a tournament but you need to have a few key rules in mind:
- Official forum tournaments are only made by staff. Please don't call your tournament official.
- Your tournament can have requirements but they have to be fair. Only rookies is a fair requirement. Banning another member from entering even if they have a rookie is not. Only Dragon Roar Digimon is a fair requirement. Only people with more than 500 posts is not. Only Veedramon, Veemon or variants is fair. Only people with a server ranking above 1000 is not. Basically, anything related to the app itself is a good requirement, anything related to the forum member is not.
(The exception is if your tournament is a continuation. For example, a tournament for the previous winners of a certain number of tournaments) - Your tournament has to be approved by the Tournament Master, that is, me, before you can start battling. You can take inscriptions before, and other staff can approve if I take too long. This is to prevent rule breaking tournaments to be done.
- You can ask me to make you a trophy/medal/ribbon or you can make your own. These trophies will end up in the trophy room thread once your tournament is finished. Preferably, a trophy is a transparent image with the name of the victor.
- You can also throw in any other prizes you want. But please don't promise prizes you can't deliver.
- When it comes to the actual tournament format, there aren't any rules. You can have it be elimination style, point style, tag team, 5 judges, no judges, be creative.
- You can do private tournaments by PM if you don't want to have it approved. These kinds of tournaments, however, will not count for any fun forum stuff, so be careful.
- Please read the rules before you make any tournaments. Especially if they have been updated recently.[li]
